It was Christmas, so we decided to invite friends over for a traditional turkey dinner.  Little did we know we had to pay the price of leftover turkey hell...

2007 Albums

We went back to Taiwan for Aileen and Lawrence's wedding.  We took the chance to sneak out to the night market and treated ourselves to some local delight.

Gary joins in on Janet's company trip to Phuket.  Lots of memorable events and sights.  It was a great babymoon.  (Yes, that is a real baby Bengal tiger!)

Unlike the ChinaJoy, GStar actually have content.  However, it also does very well in the booth babes department.

We hosted a small house party for co-workers in August. Gary made his favorite fried ice cream dessert while everyone enjoyed an evening of friendly Wii competition. We all had a wonderful time and hopefully we'll get to host another house party soon.

Clear sky, blue waters.  It's hard to imagine that Sanya is a part of China.

This is my third ChinaJoy and as usual, the show is light on content, heavy on booth babes.  I'm not sure if there is any reason to return to the show in the future other than to meet old friends.

I made a trip to Japan in March in order to finish up my visa process.  Lucky for me, it was Sakura season.  However, all I had was my cell phone camera...

Here's a quick recap on all the exciting things that happened to us in 2006.

For this year's Christmas and NY trip, we make good on our promise to ourselves and went back to Australia.  This time, we checked out Sydney and Melbourne!

It's my last day of work at KES!  Co-workers and great friends gather at KazBar to share food, drinks and plenty of laughter.

A farewell dinner at Mondestos, an Italian restaurant with wood oven pizza and great pasta.  Everyone has great fun and the evening ends with Haato ice cream! 

The monthly diner club goes to NanjaMonja, where they serve traditional Japanese Okonomiyaki.

For Janet's birthday, we went to The Sentosa to enjoy a relaxing day of massages.  But before that, we join a dive trip to the Under Water World aquarium and get close and personal with sharks and eagle rays!

This is our first trip back to Japan after moving to Singapore two years ago and it didn't disappoint!  Japan still has its charms and we definitely look forward to visiting again in the future.

This was our first trip to Copenhagen and it was an absolute blast!  Vanessa and Hans' wedding were beautiful and we made many good friends and experienced a lot of Denmark culture including seeing the little mermaid, visiting the royal palace, tasting the local food and checking out the famous Danish design center!

Gary's yearly pilgrimage leads again to the Los Angeles Convention center for the biggest game show on the entire planet.  This year, Wii's presence, and the PS3 price were the talk of the show.  Dive deeper to check out all the extravagant booths, the new titles and don't forget to pay a visit to the the ladies of E3 gallery.

Hanoi was a beautiful place with lots of culture and delicious food.  Our trip included a one night boat tour of Halong Bay, which was by far the most beautiful place we have been.

Having not planned early enough, we had a hard time finding flights out of Singapore over Chinese New Year.  After much searching, we decided to visit Sri Lanka and the trip was simply wonderful!

2005 Albums

It was our good friend Ayumi's birthday and we celebrated with a golf trip to Malaysia.  It was also Janet's first time on an 18 hole golf course!

This was our first dive trip at Tioman and we managed to fit 6 dives into 2 days.  We saw some interesting marine life (including Gary's favorite - nudibranch) and it was the first time Janet did a night dive!

2004 was a wonderful and exciting year for us.  So we decided to sum things up with a short newsletter.

Our first trip to Australia and of course we went straight for the great barrier reef.  In our 6 days there, we did 3 days of diving and 3 days of visiting areas around Cairns.  We did a walk through the rainforest, visited the Cairns night zoo, the crocodile farm and even did some gambling at the local casino!

Gary's parents visit Japan and we make it out to Hokkaido.  It was a great trip with plenty of sightseeing and great food.
